Graduation Requirement: 2 Semesters

Oakwood High School’s Fine and Performing Arts Department provides a competitive program allowing for both breadth of experience and freedom of choice, designed to build a strong background in the arts, while encouraging individual exploration. Studio Art and Theater Art are offered early in the Oakwood High School experience, and students can progress further in their area of artistic interest and talent by enrolling in more advanced classes later in high school.

Oakwood requires all students to complete at least one year-long arts course before graduation. Students may choose to fulfill this requirement by taking either a visual arts course or a performing arts course. Students may continue their arts education by taking more advanced courses in the arts as they progress through high school.
