Your 2025 Fund Run Dollars at Work
The 2025 Oakwood Fund Run broke records in both participation and dollars raised, and we can't wait to match that same energy again this year! From library updates, to Athletic Center tech upgrades, to classroom enhancements, those dollars have already made a real impact across campus—see below for everything your generosity helped make possible for the 2026-2027 school year at Oakwood.
Library Refresh
Our school library just turned a new page — new carpeting, furniture, and decor have transformed this well-loved space into an even more inviting spot to curl up with a good book.
Enrollment Welcome Center
First impressions matter—and now prospective families experience the best of Oakwood right from the start. Our new Enrollment Welcome Center, located in the Main Office, offers a friendly space to greet families, share what makes our school special, and host meetings with our Enrollment team.
Athletic Center Screens & Sound System
The addition of three large screens in the Athletic Center will create new opportunities to engage and inform audiences during school assemblies, special events, and games. The facility was also equipped with its first dedicated sound system.
During games, the screens will showcase scores, statistics, and other in-game information to bring even more energy to the game-day experience.
Barn Refresh
The Barn just got a serious glow-up! All four side hoops were swapped out, the floor got a fresh refinish, and center court is now sporting the Oakwood "O" logo. The Barn Kitchen was retrofitted to bring our brand-new Oakwood Dining Services through Pasta Market to life, while the Outdoor Stage got its own new sound system to amp up assemblies, Fund Run, and other events.
Harkness Method Tables
Harkness Method tables were added to campus, bringing our commitment to a more intentional education to life in a whole new way. Their oval shape puts every student in direct eye contact with each other, eliminating any "front" of the room and putting the teacher in a guide-on-the-side role instead of the sole voice. The result is genuine student-to-student conversation, where they read the room, jump in without raising hands, and work together to unpack ideas rather than wait to be called on.
Upper School Faculty Workstations
The hallway in the Upper School building received a refresh, transforming the space into more functional workstations for faculty and staff complete with computer stations, printers, desks, and more. This upgrade gives our team a more efficient, dedicated spot to get work done right in the heart of the building.
Fund Run Makes History—Together We Soared!
Friday’s Fund Run was everything Oakwood School loves about its community—pure joy, school spirit, and a whole lot of fun. Students ran, jumped, climbed, quad-stepped, and bounced their way across campus with smiles from ear to ear. The energy was contagious, and the Oakwood spirit was on full display.
And today, the excitement continues with the best news of all—Oakwood Made History! Thanks to the generosity and participation of Oakwood families, the school not only reached its goal but surpassed it. Together, the community raised $200,000 through this year’s student-led Fund Run, unlocking an additional $50,000 from generous Oakwood families through the Together We Soar Challenge.
That brings the grand total to $251,135.55, officially making this the most successful Fund Run in Oakwood’s 28-year history. The event also achieved an impressive 84% overall student participation rate. Congratulations to the grades that reached 100% participation—your foam party celebration awaits!
Oakwood will use this wonderful momentum from the Fund Run, which serves as the official launch of the Annual Fund Campaign, to continue gathering support from families and the greater community. This includes the exciting introduction of the brand-new Community Partners Program.
